Modernising museum accreditation through digital design transformation

AMaGA Victoria

branding | visual identity

AMaGA Victoria's Accreditation programs foster positive change by supporting Victorian organisations in ethically preserving and managing collections while enriching community experiences. The Museum Accreditation Program (MAP) contributes to a future-focused, skilled, and sustainable sector. The Community Museum Accreditation Program (CMAP) nurtures capable, sustainable volunteer-managed organisations embedded in their communities.

The programs underwent a comprehensive transformation, adopting a more strategic and targeted structure for stakeholders. This transition shifted the delivery mode from paper-based to digital, developing a portal to streamline engagement, training, and submission processes.

One of the biggest challenges for the accreditation programs was communicating their benefits to both internal and external stakeholders. In this project, I developed new visual identity that portrayed the programs as positive, forward-thinking, and responsive to contemporary museum and gallery practices. This visual identity included two distinct logos to differentiate between the programs while conveying their relationship.

By developing a new visual identity, I supported AMaGA Victoria improve stakeholder understanding and engagement with the accreditation programs, potentially leading to increased participation and effectiveness.
